My professional background is Project and Contract Management with broad experience in international contracts like NEC3, JCT, FIDIC, claim & commercial management, scheduling (Primavera P6) as well in project management tools such as Earned Value Management.

Projects (EPC, multimillion) are construction and plant related, such as Energy from Waste or as a stand out project - the Olympics Games London 2012.

My journey into photography started in the digital age with the Olympus E-System and the E1 - which I still have. Now my main gear is based on Leica M system which follows me around the world and this is here my interest in photography is rooted: Street, Reportage, Travel, Nature

M stands for „Messsucher“ and a certain kind of photography wich results in its own kind of visual language. A great number of the photos which are part of our culture live and collective memory have been taken with a Leica and all the big photographic artist use or used a Leica Camera. The big independent Magnum agency is the hub of such artworks.

Some may ask why a Leica and there is no subjective, factual based answer to that question. Of course many will argue that by todays standards its only a camera for the wealthy. From a value point of view this is probably right, but for the example the Leica M9 can be found in various layers of our society, of some aren’t normally associated with money. So, there must be other traits. First off all its a small and relative lightweight 35mm camera, it doesn’t scare people of by its looks and than there is the rangefinder focus mechanism and the world greatest lenses. But in the end everyone has to test one by himself if a M is the camera to own and use. For me, after using one and getting the grips with its simplified interface and the rangefinder mechanism, it was the camera to own and the one I was looking for. A no point of return.
